Others have said "don't bother...there are better Mexican restaurants to go to." Really?? We certainly haven't found them. Their chili rellenos (get them with the sauce on the side, so the outside is crispier) are among the best, and their fundido to start is worth the calories. Plus, really, the atmosphere! It's fun, people, especially if you can sit outdoors... 更多
Wonderful lunch here. Original taco plate, with rice and pinto bean sides, also the Two for Tucson plate with corn tamali, and sonoran enchilada. So good! Guac and chip starter, with tres leches cake, and churros plate for desert. Loved it all! Beautiful decor, and comfortable seating. Recommended!
We had a bad experience about a year ago so we thought we would give them another try....guess what...same bad service and very average food. This was our last try at this somewhat famous Tucson restaurant chain. We feel there are better Mexican restaurants in town and we will frequent them.
We love this restaurant. I had the best Chimi I have ever had. Go with the green enchilada sauce. Also, best house Margarita. Carne Asada was a bit salty...skip that. Lovely decor.
There are few places in the USA where you can get real Carne Seca. This place is one of them. They offer many good dishes and we sampled a few of them. The food was very good and they even have a local beer on tap. Very good!! The portions are large and we went away happy. Good service too.
We have been here many times and are never disappointed. The restaurant is gorgeous, food is great, and service provides. Although there are many carnivore dishes to choose from, this most recent visit surprised me with a dedicated vegan offering (including both the green and red enchilada sauce). There are vegetarian offerings as well and the Margaritas are excellent.
Recently had lunch here on a Saturday. Apparently the management grossly underestimate how many would show up to eat that afternoon. We had to wait about 25 minutes for reinforcement staff to arrive. The service then picked up. The quality of my enchiladas was to my liking. The red sauce used had a bitter taste. Prices were fairly high for... 更多
Asked people in the retirement community of Saddlebrooke where the great restaurants were in Tucson. This place was always mentioned. So while in Arizona last January, we went to El Charro's. Wow, what a wonderful place. Fabulous food, great atmosphere, and great staff. This is now one of our "must go to" restaurants when in Tucson!
My fiance, daughter and I visited this restaurant last month. It was the first time I had ever been, and he highly recommended it. It took a bit for the hostess to seat us, and we had to stand the whole time. Once we sat down, our server was prompt to our table and was very helpful with someone who... 更多
My sisters and I TRIED to have lunch here on March 27th. We waited at the door to be seated behind another couple. It seemed there was noone working in the entire restaurant. Noone came and offered to seat us, meanwhile, another crowd was gathering behind us, also waiting to be seated. Finally, a waiter approached, looked at everyone waiting... 更多
My family and I stopped to have lunch here at El Charro on Friday, April 3, 2015. Once we asked to be seated outside, the hostess at the door disappeared for quite some time. We sat ourselves thinking she would be checking up on us. After waiting five minutes, someone did see us and delivered menus. The young man who... 更多
This was not our first visit to El Charro; we've been there many times before. The food is always good. What made this visit most memorable was our server. Unfortunately, I never caught her name, but our receipt identifies her as server #3402. She was delightful with an outstanding personality, and very knowledgable about the food and the history of... 更多
Interesting food, tasted some new flavor combos. But, the service was terribly slow. Everyone was nice, but dinner took way way too long (especially in seeing how many open tables there were towards the end).
