We had lunch at the Make restaurant. This restaurant is main road. The restaurant provides Chinese, Japanese and Asian cuisine. The sushi we had was fresh and appealing on the eye. This little restaurant is well worth a visit.
I had nice dumplings; a bit small but good. The main I had was shrimps with fried rice: delicious! Big portion and many shrimps which is rare nowadays. The ambiance in the restaurant could be better... a bit loud during rush hours. The light was a bit too bright.
As a vegetarian I usually struggle to find options on many take-out menus, so Make at least has a (limited) vegetarian menu. I called to order the braised tofu, but when my boyfriend arrived at Make to pick up the order, they told him that they had no tofu (could they not have said this over the phone?). He then... 更多
Very disappointed. We placed our takeaway order at 20.25, and were told to collect our order at 20.50. Upon arrival none of the staff let us know what was happening with our order - we finally managed to coax information out of the disinterested staff and were told the food would be ready shortly. At 21.15 we asked again where... 更多
I know it's horses for courses but we have been coming here for four years and we have found the food to be fab value for money and extremely tasty food. Perhaps from the UK we find everything in the Cape great value but for me this is my go to place for cheap, great food. Two main courses with... 更多
Perhaps it is just the time of the year but this restaurant is simply not coping. Instead of employing extra staff, they seem to be struggling with one or two waiters and absolutely no management. Last night was chaotic. They should have closed their doors and said no more orders. Instead they packed in as many as they possibly could... 更多
This is a terrific spot for a quick sushi! Sea Point restaurants come and go with many struggling during winter hoping to make it to the season. I suppose the reason for this is that the Sea Pont main road is such an awful place. I really hope Make is here to stay. Their sushi and Chinese food is fabulous... 更多
Down to earth Freshly prepared Wok fried e.g. We found Sizzling Tofu tasty Fried Onion pancakes tasty Prawn dumplings delicious Sushi Excellent My companion who is an expert ( well we think he is ) rates this a the 3 rd best Sushi in Cape Town
This place make good sushi platters for such a reasonable price than a bunch of the other 'fancy' Sushi spots in Cape Town. Their Chinese food is pretty authentic and they game really good. I love their Miso soup, Hot & Sour Soup and Salted Chilli prawns. I recommend!
Love their food! Been there twice in two days but have to give you a warning that they are not prepared for power cuts! They can still provide their regular menu except for hot tea or hot sake or a receipt. South Africa experiences a lot of load shedding these days and I believe any business needs to be prepared.... 更多
