Great atmosphere. Amazing food. Includes some designer's stores and a nice garden. I recommend it for a weekend lunch.
I was here shortly after Il Giardino opened a few years ago and it was very good. We popped into 44 Stanley on Sunday to the vinyl fair and Il Giardino looked very inviting so we reserved for lunch and had a superb Sunday lunch with good background music from Runaway Train Cult. Gnocchi was excellent, Risotto even better and... 更多
I overheard the owner/manager shouting really loudly at a staff member. I found it unprofessional and distasteful. The staff went out of their way to get me to stay and ignore her. My food was good.
We have been regular visitors for years and will keep returning as the quality is always good, the service excellent and the setting great. We love to join friends together on Sundays where one can relax with good company and the sound of live music.
Sitting under the lovely trees in the dappled Spring sunshine surrounded by wonderful original music, surrounded by chatting friends (my own friends, and complete strangers!) was one of the best ways to spend a Sunday afternoon in Joburg that I've come across in a while. The food was magnificent - rustic Italian packed with flavour - and the service was... 更多

But bring your Euros bro, it aint cheap cheap. Upfront, the staff are amazing. Friendly and... 更多
Came here as a group of 4 on a Tuesday evening. A number of other restaurants, all with outdoor seating close by, no-one eating outside in May though. A good selection of pastas and pizzas, the antipasti particularly was extremely good. Meal for 4 (starters and main courses), 1 bottle of wine, 2 beers, 2 G&Ts, all for £56. Unbeatable... 更多
What a beautiful, eclectic restaurant in a garden setting. Live music on a Saturday afternoon ... 5 piece band, more of the oldies sing a long type of music. Booking essential. Dishes that we had: steak and mash potato, pasta, peri-peri chicken, small menu but delicious food
This is such a nice place, with great food & wine, good service and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Johannesburg. The menu has just the right mix of foods to suit almost any tastebud. Do try the lamb on their menu, we loved the open air seating, overall a great experience, will visit again.
