We had breakfast here almost every morning (stayed at casitas lazDivaz nearby which was wonderful). The food was DELICIOUS!
We ate here several times - breakfast, lunch, and afternoon drink break. The location was great and it seemed more "real" that than other beach spots. Food was solidly tasty. Staff was fine, though as others have noted, not super friendly. It reminded me of German restaurants where service is direct and not overly attentive. Less "touristy" and low key.
We ate lunch twice here because it was easily accessible as we were lounging on the beach not far. The owner wasn't all that friendly. The fries were crispy and filling, smoothies weren't great. Casado was good! A bit too pricey for what you get.
We went to this cute little soda on the ocean every day for breakfast. It was nice to have something more authentic (and less touristy) and still be right on the beach with your toes in the sand. Staff didn't really speak English, so it was fun to practice Spanish! Everyone was very friendly and the food was great!
Situated right on the beach, this restaurant had the best selection of smoothies around. The prices were very reasonable $2.50 compared to other locations on the beach that charged up to $4.50. The french fries (for us Americans) were very good and reasonably priced. Service was good and the restrooms on site were clean.
I pedal down the beach most mornings to eat here. Good coffee, juice, typical Costa Rican breakfast. I always add plantains and all the juices are good. I enjoy the banter with the servers and the action at Chocos surf school almost in front, is entertaining as well! It is a great way to begin the day.
