Sorriso is the name of the guy who served our table. Amazing guy! We ordered picanha, farofa, arroz maluco e batatas portuguesas. Nothing was really special, but not too bad either!
We came upon this restaurant as we headed back to our apartment after a visit to the Botanical Gardens. It was very busy as it was Sunday afternoon and Father's Day to boot. However, the service was still good and attentive. We enjoyed the Sunday special, a combination of mixed roasted vegetables and meat. The meal is meant to serve... 更多
We were 6 and we ordered chicken, batatas fritas, rice and a meat ensemble. Chicken, rice and batatas came quite fast but we had to wait for the meat meal. Other people finished their dishes and we were still waiting, starting to starve. We asked the waiter what is happening and we wore told "it's being defrosted" What ? We... 更多
This place is always at hand for a beer and some typical local food, grill, soups, sanwiches and eggs. I have been several times for late lanch and after midnight dinner and always found the kitchen available and ery professional waiters. The crowds in the square nearby can be impressive, mostly young and beautiful from the wealthy neighbouroods. Would suggest... 更多
This is a restaurant for people who like exclusive dinners. But it does not fulfill the exclusiveness… Food is good but expensive, service is a kind of disaster. Nice views but isolated.
We visited this place after a few hours at the botanic garden, it's only 5 minutes walk away. We were hungry and the place was full with locals enjoying different cuts of meat, so we gave it a go and we were not disappointed. The staff did not speak very good english but they were very helpful and pleasant. Most... 更多
It was my first meal in Rio, and the worst one at the same time. I've ordered onion soup and it looked like brown water with a lot of flour. It was completely without any taste and overpriced. The quality of service was poor as well.
HIpodromo is a very typical Rio bar, where you can drink the only kind of beer everyone drinks in Brazil - chopp - that's draft for us, eat french fries, a steak or barbecued sausages. Cheap, loud, frozen in time. The place looks exactly the same for 30 years. The bathrooms have probably not been cleaned in 30 years, too.
Very nice atmosphere to have a beer, eat a delicious picanha with arroz-feijao and enjoy lunch or an afternoon with... 更多
