Located in the heart of Alexandria’s waterfront district at the corner of King and Union Streets. An old three story building, with a Speak Easy history. My wife, daughter and granddaughter were there for seafood. It was a good choice overall. We had orders of Seafood Pasta $19.99 with shrimp, scallops and fish on a bed of linguini; an Admiral's... 更多
I almost didn't go here for dinner, after seeing that it had some bad reviews, but it was AMAZING. We are definite "foodies", and have snobbish palates occasionally, haha, and this place absolutely delivered. It's a great casual seafood place and I would highly recommend! They had a great happy hour, and my partner and I ended up splitting a... 更多
No Old Town visit is complete without a stop at The Fish Market. The seafood dishes are great, as is the atmosphere and history. It's also one of the best bar scenes. I love that it's right downtown close to the water. The service is always great!
The food is great. Lots of fresh seafood in large servings. Great location and atmosphere. My favorites including the oysters, clam chowder, scallops and pasta, and large schooners of cold beer.
We selected this place as it was rated No 1 in the area on a competing app and it looked nice from the outside. The fresh fish in the window gave hope for a nice meal and upon perusing the menu we were informed that the fish & chips were made from cod so we all went for that, each... 更多
We had lunch at this establishment. We ordered the fish and chips. The food was good, and the beer was cold. If I had ordered the oysters, it might have made for a better meal.
My wife and I had a nice dinner at The Fish Market while we visited Alexandria recently. We shared Crab Cakes and Peal n Eat Shrimp. Everything was prepared well and quite tasty. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the total price of the meal seemed reasonable for a casual seafood dinner. If and when we again visit DC... 更多
We always get the crab dip when we come. It comes out steaming hot and the bread it comes with is delicious! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices for market seafood.
The Fish Market is a casual restaurant in the heart of Old Town. The three of us were seated in the upstairs dining area near the TVs. This particular room was kind of loud compared to the other dining areas, so keep this in mind if you are interested in a quieter meal. We all had seafood. I ordered the... 更多
Ten of us out for dinner, seated on the second level of the Fish Market. Almost everyone had the 'bowls' of beer ~ wow!. Crabettes for appetizers all around. Ordered scallops dinner with asparagus and potatoes - very good but all highly seasoned. Will be back.
We started by ordering an app and drinks. These items came right out. Or server started attentively checking on us and then brought dinner where he was never seen again. We stacked our empty plates of average fare in the center of the table and watched servers and buss boys rush to and fro doing nothing for any nearby tables.... 更多
We were there when it was burger night and decided to do one of their burgers! It was fantastic-made from fresh hamburger or at least didn't look like a pre-made, pre-pressed. Service was also great:-)
Although I read the seafood was great the prices threw me a little so I decided just to check it out and get a beer and watch some sports. I sat at the bar and the bartender immediately made me feel welcome, very tall muscular man that could probably be in the WWE or NFL, can't recall his name but... 更多
I've been coming here since it opened in the late 1970s. Always had a good meal. Met 2 friends who were biking the GW Parkway, left their bikes locked to a tree outside and came up fresh off the trail. No problem! Had Clam Chowder excellent. Seafood Club also excellent. Great atmosphere in upper room with funny paintings.
