I'm torn on how to review Uchiko. On one hand, we had a very nice evening with some amazing sushi and sushimi dishes. On the other hand, for the prices, they needed to be amazing. some of the dishes seemed worth the premium but a few were not as amazing as they should have been. We got lucky because we... 更多
When I asked about a great place in Austin to take my beloved for a birthday dinner, I never expected to hear Uchi or Uchiko. We are from San Francisco and have had amazing sushi all over the world so we were skeptical. We relied upon our server to guide us and she did not disappoint. She recommended a Saki... 更多
We heard plenty of good things about Uchiko and it's sister restaurant Uchi that we decided we had to try one of them. First off neither my husband and I are big fans of Japanese food. That said it would have been a shame to miss this. We did not arrive at restaurant until around 9:15 on a Monday evening... 更多
My wife and I had a lovely dinner here in April 2015. We arrived just at opening to avoid the wait, and our waitress was incredibly attentive but not intrusive. She walked us through the menu, and helped us make some great menu choices. The food was amazing, as it should be at this price. It was the best meal... 更多
A group of us went and we left I to the waiter, may well have been our mistake, not sure though and we felt that the food was OK but the bill was very expensive indeed and we are a dining club who do not mind spending - so overall would we rush back - not really.
Wow!!! A bit pricey, but the tast sensations are beyond belief. If you want truly great cuisine this is it. Everything was uniquely seasoned and prepared. One of my new favorites.
A must! Creative, fresh, ambience, just as good as the reviews say. Filling space for remaining 40 characters
But damn it was good. The rolls and dishes are highly imaginative. We let the waitress recommend a tasting menu and each course got better and better. They are all now a wonderful blend in my mind though a sushami on a mango salad, the duck presented in a mason jar filled with applewood smoke and a dessert of tobacco... 更多
We've been to Uchiko several times, and we are always amazed by the creativity and quality of the culinary artistry. The servers are polite, discreet, and extraordinarily well-informed. Started with edamame which has a unique char-grilled quality. Then brussels sprouts (twice), and I don't even like brussel sprouts! Shime saba is a great flavor combination. Sake toro was sensual and... 更多
We decided to go to Uchiko to get out of the craziness that was SXSW. What a great choice! This is a very cool place with a different take on Sushi. We loved our food and the staff was excellent!
