Not a bad place really, but their gyoza is neither special, nor does it come in any variety - they have ONE dish on the menu! That's a bit of a bummer. Other thant that, it's cheap and it looks like "real Japan". Not my cupof tea!
Other than to say the gyoza are excellent (among the best I've ever had), I only write to clear up an internet error. Google Maps and at least one review suggest that the restaurant is closed. It is not closed as of 5/21/15. Come here, get pickles and gyoza for cheap, drink beer, that is all.
Small place with a fantastically simple menu, helpful staff and tasty gyoza, which were perfect for a quick, no hassle meal after a tiring day sightseeing. Friendly staff, combinations of seats at tables and at the bar. Sometimes limited choices are a blessing and an asset - this is one of those places!
Try this place. The dumplings are fab, freshly griddled when you order. Beef, pork, cabbage and leek. You create your own sauce at the table with vinegar, soy and lethal chilli sauce, you are warned only a drop of the latter is needed. Medium draught beer is rather a large glass.
