I arrived here around 12:30, which is apparently when the fried chicken is first available. It was excellent, as were the rice and beans. The gentleman who waited on me was very nice and patient with my slow Spanish.
It took awhile to find this new location because it is no longer called Nelvis. He has changed the name to Los Edwins. This is his name and also his son's name. Still good typical lunchs for under $5.00 with drink.
Nelvis is one of our favorite places in Boquete. The food is consistently very good, and the place is clean. There is no better fried chicken in Panama. The owners are terrific people and very friendly.
My wife and I joined another couple for lunch at Nelvis' original location in Boquete. The food was delicious, fresh and very inexpensive. Nelvis is back after a couple months of absence from the Boquete scene. The new location is on the 1st street east of the Town Park and about 1 ¾ blocks North of the Park; a few paces past Melo Store (a well known land mark). This is eating like a true local. However, my friend living in Boquete has informed me that rents got too high in Boquete and they have moved to a town 20 mins away in Dolega or Algorrobos. That is a real shame. Be sure to visit them in their new location and support the locales. There are many great places... 更多
We asked our tour guide, who has lived in Boquete all his life, where he would recommend we go for authentic, local cuisine. Without hesitation, he said, "Oh, Nelvis. Get their chicken.
