We were quite pleased with this restaurant. The seafood was very fresh and the service very friendly. A varied menu with items I haven't seen elsewhere in Puerto Ayora. Try the polpo.
La Garrapata was recommended to us by a local friend as the best. They did not disappoint. Al fresco dining with good food and the best beer selection we found in our four day stay on land.
Overall it was a "good" restaurant. I wouldn't say great and more wished someone had told us about Calle de Kiosks. In the evening a street, a few blocks off the main street, turns into one long restaurant table and fresh seafood is cooked to order from a dozen or so smaller restaurants. Look up a review of KF William... 更多
The food is tasty, I ordered a sea food BBQ, its was good quality however it was way to expensive, the portion was too small it only includes 4 prawns 1 piece of squid 1 piece of fish, I was very disappointed with as it cost me 28 dollars.
We had a very pleasant evening at La Garrapata. We started with the potato soup which was really delicious. I had the fish ceviche which was good and a very generous portion. My SO had the garlic seafood which was also good. I found the prices really reasonable for Puerto Ayora, so am not sure what is driving the number... 更多
We were on a study abroad trip for 4 weeks and we ate at this restaurant for a couple of times. Their Quinoa with vegetables is very tasty. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. they also gave us free dessert since we visited their restaurant for a couple of times. definitely a very good place to eat.
We went here our first day. Food was overall good. Fish slightly over cooked for some. Everything was very fresh including the salads. Pleasant service
We tried many places in Puerto Ayora, all were pretty good. La G was average. Food was average, service was average. The dirt floors interesting. Good place for people watching though and below average drink prices. Not a bad place, but I don't think it's #2 in Santa Cruz
