Great food! Went there for dinner and they had the best lighting and ambiance. I ordered fresh shrimp and it was delicious!
The owner was very friendly, but the food was just average. The restaurant has no atmosphere, and the prices have increased. The misleading sign says Q25, but that is only for the vegetarian meal.
We do not normally vivit little places such as la Fondita but this was a nice little find. As compared to others in this market place we have to give it 5 stars. Good fresh food prepared nicely with great personal service by the owner...Luis.
Based on reviews from TripAdvisor, I sought out this small restaurant during my visit to Antigua in April 2015. As promised, my lunch was excellent. I was the only customer in the restaurant and Luis, the owner, was very kind to welcome me in and take time for a chat. The cook took very little time to prepare my simple... 更多
We visited la fondita on a Sunday evening and were very pleasantly surprised not only with our food but the kindness of the owner serving us. Compared to a lot of the other more touristy restaurants the food here, especially the local speciality pepian, was excellent. The food was very well priced, decent portions and probably some of the best... 更多
la Fondita is pretty basic in all measures. The decor is simple but nice. The food is basic but just like you would make at home. Good homestyle cooking. Great portions for the prices. I ate breakfast here on 3 occasions and enjoyed the food and talking to Luis the owner.
Ifyou are looking for good food at really good pricing, checkout the Fondita. Small, quaint with a menu that has lots of sandwiches and a handful of good main dishes. We had the fish and the chicken that were both tasty. Superb service by Louis the owner.
I have eaten at la Fondita on various occasions and I always enjoyed the friendly service provided by Louis. This pasty weekend I had their special which was a local dish called Pepien. It was very tasty and prompted me to write a review after my many visits. Prices are as economical as you can find.
Their soup is really good, melted cheese was jummy. Friendly service. But too much speed in serving and not enough speed in bringing out menu or asking how they wwre doing. I didn't like the way they served beer, with salt and lemon... I couldn't finish it! Overalll ok dining experience. I had better meals while in Guatemala.
