This is a must whenever we visit the area. We usually visit when we first arrive to stock our fridge and then again to bring goodies home. Baked goods are exceptional. Love the pies and filled croissants. Wine and beer selection works well for trying local items. Outstanding variety of products and produce.
We stopped at Atkins after a visit to the Eric Carle Museum and were delighted by the vegetables, sweets, bakery, and lunch offerings. The sandwiches were outstanding and the service was just great. We purchased some treats for the trip home and also a cookie and donut. Can't complain about anything. This was a wonderful discovery1
This is a beautiful market stocked with a wide selection of local produce, herbs, plants and a scrumptious bakery. Unfortunately we were on the way to the airport or would have purchased more than the just picked sweet corn we stowed in checked bag. Highly recommend. Lots of parking.
Its a very warm homey market with bakery goods like they use to be. The produce and meats are as fresh as it gets . You can buy a cold beer there and have very good ice cream Car show's sometimes on Monday nights
Atkins also has a full deli and bakery. But the best is their farm grown peaches and apples when in season. Late June through October this place can be very busy on the weekends. You might think it was the only place to shop in the area, but it is very popular and for a reason.
First stop for ice cream and eat it while shopping. We had soft serve in 2 flavors (pistachio, English toffee) Pricey but local, and well located by 2 roundabouts. To make it worth the trip, visit the college campuses. Look for locally made food. We bought ready to heat lasagna, Turkey jerky, fresh sweet basil, local brew, and maple cookies.
