We went there for a lunch. You have to order and serve yourself but luckily the cashier is a charming Austrian nun. The menu is short but the food is good, some salads, schnitzel and strudel. 50 USD For 3 people.
I would have not known this restaurant was there without our guide. He was friends with the Nun that manages it. Israel Pizza was good, atmosphere was like being in another country. I recommend it highly.
They have a very nice cafe with excellent interior decoration, and also a lovely little quiet garden if you want to get away from the crowded areas of the Muslim Quarters. Its my second time at Jerusalem and recently I discovered this lovely place. It looks like closed from outside but the entire building is lovely. You fel like you are somewhere in Europe. They have hotel at the entrance and a cafe with a nice patio. indoor and outside seating. We went to see some partraits and paid 5 Shekels... 更多
Visited the cafe; 42 NIS for 2 bottles of water and the world's worst strudel (the Austrians may require a name change if they tasted it). That combined with rude service means that the cafe is best avoided. On the other hand; 5 NIS per person to visit the rooftop gallery gives a great view of the old city.
I kind off passed by when my tour guide pointed out it is worth checking out. he was correct. this place is a quite place to have a nice apple strudel and something cold to drink. not to mention one of the most amazing view points of the old city.
The rooftop view is really special, pity that they have commercialized this. The coffee shop is great and worth a stop.
Definitely pay the 5 NIS/$1.30 USD per person to go to the roof top for the view...if you have time look up the times for call to prayer and coordinate your view with one of the calls to prayer...it was a truly unique experience to hear the echos of the various mosques as you overlook the city. We had lunch... 更多
