So far one of my favorite restaurants in DC. The blacked salmon was amazing and the coconut tofu was to die for.
While the space is amazing and eclectic, the food didn't hold the same standard. We were there for breakfast. The food options were fun and interesting. I had the sweet potato pancakes and vegan bacon. While good, it wasn't anything to right home about. Also had the cafe midici which wasn't good at all sadly. My party had a general concensus... 更多
We went on a Tuesday night and it was crowded. The decor was very artisy. The place is named after Langston Hughes. The avacado pannini was great. The cobb salad was a nice portion. The falafel sandwich was yummy too. The lamb burger was tasty too. There is a book store in the restruant. Definitely worth a return visit!

The waitress took quite a while to bring me lemons for my water and seemed to be very busy during my entire stay. She was very friendly nevertheless. The crab balls that I ordered were tasty, and the texture was just right.... 更多
Alright ya all....to my 100,000+ readers...especially my vegetarian and vegan fans. This is a Must Stop! Started with babaganous and sangria. Fantastic. Had the shrimp and grits. Aaa...mmmm...aaa...zzz...iii...nn.....g! Brie sandwich. Yes! Desert was vegan brownie and home made bread pudding. Everyone must try the bread pudding. Service was excellent. You must stop.....
Strongly recommend this place. Nine in our party, three of which were kids. Everyone raved about & loved their entrees. I had the pan-roasted chicken - BEST chicken I've ever had! The kids shared warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream and were grinning from ear to ear.
Ate here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. They have a great selection of sandwiches, pizzas and entrees. I've had the veggie burger, the cauliflower sandwich, the "tuna" sandwich and the gazpacho. All great tasting. The fries are good, I prefer the sweet potato version. The baba ganoush is very tasty, as is the taboulli. The setting... 更多
There's something here for everyone - a menu featuring snippets of famous poetry, a wide range of food choices, entertainment (not continuous), and even a bookstore in the area where you wait for your table! A big win all around!
