Have a group of 50? Reserve the entire restaurant on a Monday night. Decent food but slow service. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it is clean and safe.

Kind of quiet which was great for me and my adult daughter to sit, eat and talk. The menu was fantastic. Not a place to go if you're trying to find a group of 20- or 30-somethings to hang out with but plenty nearby after dinner. A wide variety of proteins including vegetarian and vegan options. I'll be going there... 更多
My husband and I have been to Cedar several times, it is one of our favorites. The location in the heart of Penn Quarter can't be beat, near several metro stops and museums/attractions. It is an intimate restaurant that has a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The restaurant is actually on a lower level then the street entrance, they do a... 更多
After visiting Ford's Theatre and a short visit to the Smithsonian Natural History museum, we had Sunday Brunch here before heading for home. I had the wild mushroom omelet with potatoes and a side of grilled bread - outstanding!! My wife had the shrimp & grits that was also very good. Would love to come back some time for dinner.
A friend and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday, prior to catching a matinee at E street cinema, a block or two away. The restaurant is downstairs, but so well done that you do not feel claustrophobic. Large photos of Cedar trees make you feel almost like you are indeed in a cedar forest... The service was impeccable, the... 更多
I've been here for brunch a few times, most recently with my husband, aunt and uncle before a matinee at the Shakespeare theatre. I like their French Press coffee, and recently tried the chicken and waffles. My husband liked the wild game sausage and eggs. I also did happy hour a few times here a while back and remember the... 更多
We were at this restaurant before a show. The location is convenient. The service was terrible. Food was served slowly and we had to ask repeatedly for one of the dishes. When the food arrived it was not very good. One of the dishes was so salty it was difficult to eat. There are other better options in that neighborhood.
Perfect option for pre-theater. Attractive, open dining room with surprisingly low sound levels. We enjoyed the 3-course fixed price option; the beet salad was a better option than the soup, which was good but not great. I preferred my pork tenderloin main, while my wife thought the seafood option was better. Our waiter suggested the crème brulee as the best... 更多
The ambience here is quite striking - somewhat modern, somewhat Asian, and very simple, but elegant. The wait staff were highly attentive and provided excellent service. And the food was top of the line. It was the best restaurant of all the places we dined in D.C. I am vegan and they have a separate vegan menu, in addition to... 更多
