Went with a group of 6 at the recommendation of a local friend. Snappy service. There is an alfresco dining area in the lane but the actual dining room is in a quaint unassuming cosy rustic stone cottage with toasty warm roaring fireplace, wooden beams, rustic trestle tables, copper urns and milking stools - great atmosphere and wonderful ambience. Great... 更多
We stumbled across The Cow, in a small backstreet alley. Walking through the barn doors, we came across a tiny restaurant so brilliantly decorated. There were only 5-6 tables, a bar and the kitchen. It is quite tiny, and the dark wood colouring makes it seem even more so. We were promptly greeted and asked if we minded sharing a... 更多
This place takes you back in time. Not just the remarkable ambience but the lovely warm fireplace is so unforgettable. Thats not it, The main thing - The Food Rocks! It was so deliciously tasty... pizza, pasta, garlic bread and the friendly waitresses, makes this my most favourite & unforgettable restaurant experience in NZ! Kudos!
Pizza was pretty disappointing but the garlic bread was so nice! Probably better for families feeding children than a couple. We were seated at a table of 4 with another couple which was a bit strange.
I visited cow restaurant last night for the first time and LOVED it! It's the cosiest place in Queenstown with reasonable prices and BYO! On arrival we were warmly greeted by Lucy with a huge smile and welcoming attitude. We were quite early so we took our seats at the bar while waiting for a table. Here we were warmly... 更多
We had dinner here last sat night with friends that live in Queenstown. Even as locals they enjoyed it. Lovely cozy atmosphere on a cold night, great fireplace, lovely friendly staff and nice food. The pizza was delicious
I've been to The Cow many times over many years for some very simple reasons: great pizza, great freshly baked bread and a great atmosphere. They've had to expand due to it's popularity but it's still a great stone building in which to sit at wooden tables, with a roaring open fire and a well earned beverage. Don't be surprised... 更多
Recommended by a colleague and it was a great choice. It's very small and cosy, but the service was quick and attentive. Great pizza. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. It was chilly outside the night we went but the fire inside was ablaze and kept the restaurant nice and warm.
We went here relatively early as we heard this place can fill up rapidly. I was glad we did as it soon did become busy. We had a lovely seat near the fire place and we ordered a garlic bread and a large pepperoni pizza to share. This is absolutely big enough for 2 people. The bread wasn't bad, but... 更多
This family style restaurant has it all. I got the chance to meet different people and have the best pizza I have ever had in the most homey setting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
We had six adults after a long day of travel. We ordered up 3 pizzas ( and plenty of wine). It was bloody hot in there with the fireplace but we opened the door and that made it better. The gals in the group were pleased with the heat. Pizza's were quite good, thin crust.
