traditional Thai Restuarant, mid range price, lovely decor. chilli seared scallops were amazing as an entree, so good I will ask for them as a main on my next visit. I ate alone on a Saturday night, however the live cover band in the bar area was brilliant. staff were friendly and really attentive. a very enjoyable evening!
Dinner at Grashopper was a interesting experience. Food was very good and so the service. For Friday night the restaurant was full with a few large groups of people who had celebrations there e.g. Birthday, which made it a bit noisy, so if you are just a few make sure you get a table away from the 'crowd' ;-)
Fast friendly service, good atmosphere on a Monday night. Comfortable surrounds with high quality Thai food. As authentic as you will find in a Western city (eaten in both Thailand and western countries). We had green chicken curry and red seafood curry and couldn't fault either :)
Went for Monday dinner out with work mates was not impressed at all. I have eaten Thai food all over Auckland but this place does not serve authentic Thai food. We were visiting Auckland and stumbled across Grasshopper. It was so delicious that I broke my rule of "never eat at the same place twice while traveling." The first meal was just as good as the second time 'round. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. A good menu selection; service was prompt. Would highly recommend.
This restaurant came recommended by a number of colleges and didn't disappoint. For starters I had 'Tom Yum Soap' and for mains the 'full snapper'. Both meals were great with lots of flavour. The restaurant is well set out and the staff were exceptional. Will be recommending this restaurant to all who visit Auckland.
