Waiting for my husband to finish work I popped into lock n load for a beer on a hot arvo. I like going to lock n load because I don't feel weird having a beer by myself and the staff always make you feel welcome.
Our social group of six decided to try Lock 'n' Load based on a recommendation and made a reservation for a 6.30pm Dinner. Immediately inside the entry door is a relatively small area with a bar...either for pre meal drinks or just to meet friends for a drink or two. Very cramped and very noisy. Saturday breakfast before the West End markets. Like to eat something different so went for "Craft Beer Beans", which include bacon, cornbread and jalapeno......delicious. My wife and daughter had avocado and grilled haloumi on toast.......they weren't disappointed. Obviously the place is a bar/music/restaurant later in the day.........but perfect for breakfast. Would like to go back for lunch or dinner some... 更多
We were out-of-towners up in Brisbane for a long weekend and stopped in as it was the first one open with air conditioning. Well, we were all presently surprised by the fantastic service and the best breakfast I have EVER had! It makes me want to move there so it can be my local eatery!
I have visited this bar several times. The menu and food are a delight. Great atmosphere, good service. Terrific drinks selection. The garden courtyard is also a great feature when the temperature is right.
I came here with my partner and her parents for lunch in summer and had some cool drinks and delicious hearty burgers (brisket, pulled pork, cheeseburger etc) and had a great time with delicious food. Staff were a tiny bit quirky and fun but not intrusive. Food was delicious. Venue was cool.
We dine often at Lock n Load and the meals are consistently of a high quality. I highly recommend the Lamb Shoulder - I'm drooling just thinking about it. The atmosphere is relaxed (especially out back in the garden), the staff are always attentive and friendly AND they have Stone n Wood Pacific Ale on tap....what more can I say!
