Food was great. Service good. Price good. I felt comfortable ditting alone while away on a work trip. I'll be going back
We went here for lunch based on the interesting menu and a walk by. It was indeed very tasty and generally healthy. We shared a green papaya salad (a toned down version for more western palates), which was very nice. My wife has the chicken cooked in coconut and lychee (a very good sized salad). I had the mini pork... 更多
Wow, we were impressed, a busy Sunday morning and the Chow House delivered on all accounts. The menu was extensive and varied, our coffee came quickly and was delicious. The breakfast burritos were so good packed with flavour and taste, one person had the pancakes and we were all envious, looked amazing in a small cast iron pot, caramelised banana,... 更多
This is my desserts haven when I know I want to partake of New Farm's lovely desserts and coffee. I used to give the place a wide berth when it was the James St Bistro as staff then were arrogant and offhand, and it was unaffordable dining then when it first opened, however now it has changed hands and become... 更多
This place is consistently fab! The food is packed with freshness, flavour and the specials board is always worth a look. Make sure you try the nasi goreng and the noodles with tofu. Both are to die for. They even do amazing desserts so save room for that!
A delighful restaurant in the heart of James Street serving wonderful asian-inspired dishes but with a modern twist. The ambiance is lovely and its like you are in an authentic Asian restaurant. The menu includes some wonderful shared plates like confit duck parcels, peking duck pancakes and salted fried squid. The menu is extensive so if its tasting plates or... 更多
Chow House (formally James Street Bistro) is an Asian inspired restaurant with alfresco, inside and upstairs dining right next to the cinemas. Perfect for lunch and pre-movie dinner. The food is really good and generous portions if you like good chow.
An Asian restaurant that claims to cater for different regions, The menu however is rather limited in choice. I had the duck curry which was too sweet and lots of fat on the duck.
We used to love this place for dinner before a movie. We went there last Saturday night & were very disappointed. We had booked a table. We stood there waiting while being ignored by staff who had obviously seen us & then a guy came up to us & told us they had no tables before asking us if we... 更多
