This Tea room taken us by surprise as we enter the cottage to find an Aunt serving in her costume and spectacle. Everything there is authentic the tea room is over 100 years old but decorated to match the time backward. The servant and the leader wore Victorian costume and serve everything in the Victorian ways. Even they made Lemonade... 更多
We went here one early lunchtime, as we had noticed the sign on the road side many times, and we're always saying we should go and see where it was. When we got there we saw it was a caravan in someone's back garden. Inside was very small and cramped, but this would be forgiven if the cream tea was... 更多

A wonderful sunny day, spent sitting in the beautiful garden at Aunt Martha's enjoying some wonderful food. The ploughmans is enormous with gorgeous homemade chutneys and side salads, and we followed with the classic cream tea - hot fruity scones, clotted cream & a choice of jams. More tea than we could drink - fabulous. We will be back.
Just been for afternoon tea, my friend and I sat in a lovely spot in the garden in the sunshine. The staff were attentive, the food delicious and the atmosphere was great. This may be my new favourite place!!
Came here last weekend for a cream tea while home to see family. It was delicious and good value as the scones and jam were homemade; many venues can only claim that the scones are homemade. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the tearoom has a pleasant atmosphere. I love the quirky Victorian theme and the fact that... 更多
Well, it was all a fine pretence, a step back in time, and the meals were all very recherche and quaint. Quite expensive for what it was.
I can honestly say that I have never been anywhere Like Aunt Martha's Victorian Tea Rooms in my life! The setting in a small hamlet in the middle of the Forest of Dean, really does not prepare you for this bizarre but excellent experience, welcomed by a Matriarchal figure in victorian costume and flickering gas lamps lighting the corridoors, it... 更多
Advised by the friendly people at our caravan site (Blaisdon Meadow), we visited Aunt Martha's Victorian Tea Room around lunch time. The place was delightful, with a fantastic atmosphere, great food and its own unique service and style. We will return next time we are in the area and promise not to put our elbows on the table.
En route from Swansea to London with the classic car we had just picked up ( Jaguar XJS convertible for any petrolheads) and failing to find anywhere to park in Monmouth we decided to detour via the Forest of Dean. A small sign indicated that there was a tea room off the road so feeling thirsty and hungry we followed... 更多
A group of us went for afternoon tea. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and made lovingly by hand. Atmosphere was fantastic. The decor certainly made you feel you were in a Victorian tea rooms. So much tea and food to consume. We are already planning a return visit.
Lovely setting, helpful staff, only criticism is the use of modern day expressions eg "No problems" after thanking serving staff, lots of "okays" from staff also " enjoy" when visiting the garden, feel a bit nit picky as the scones we had were exceptionally delicious
Thank you for taking time to post this review. When looking to recreate the past one of the main problems... 更多
