Fabulous food and fantastic service. Partner knew it well as his local but superb gastro pub food and service faultless. Beautiful village setting with roaring log burner. Outside seating for warmer weather.
We decided to eat outside and that was a mistake as we were located right next to the kitchen with smells and noise. The food was very basic and not good value for money. We would not plan to return. It is a very basic pub and could do so much more as this village needs a very good restaurant.... 更多
Lovely dinner in beautiful setting. Recommend for couples, not families. Drive from Woodstock or Oxford.
We attended a wedding yesterday and enjoyed it so much! The canapés were delectable and our the menu for dinner was well thought out with lots of choice. I had duck for main course and it was cooked perfectly - and the dessert of a selection of tarts was fantastically delicious! The staff were friendly, attentive and I know the... 更多
My partner & I have visited this charming 19th Century gastro pub several times; always for an evening meal and I've also been here with my 8 year old daughter for Sunday Lunch. On every occasion the food has always been of the highest quality and the atmosphere along with the decor that surrounds you makes for an enjoyable treat.... 更多
Never been to this pub before although it is just up the road to me. Lovely little pub with bags of atmosphere. We had dinner for 5 and although there was a steady stream of customers the service was spot on. Menu's given , choices made and after about 20 mins the first courses arrived. Hot, well presented and full... 更多
We decided to break our journey before joining the M40 and were delighted to find this country pub. We arrived for lunch on a Thursday and initially there were just the 2 of us and another table of 6. Later two tables of mothers with their babies came in and were seated at the other end of the pub. They... 更多
The Good Pub Guide guided us here for lunch en route to the Cotswolds. A pint of bitter to start with, followed by Salmon & Prawn Fishcakes, Sweet Chilli Sauce & Mixed Leaves, and then a Bread & Butter Pudding, produced a bill of under £25 a head. A real bargain! We look forward to returning for a more substantial... 更多
This is a lovely pub in the village of Kirtlington which also serves good quality food. The chef here obviously cares about the quality of the ingredients that are used and they also have their own kitchen garden. The daily specials that are listed are all that I could want from a menu however they do seem to sell out... 更多
We had been away for a few days and on our way home decided to stop for a meal at a village pub on route. By chance we stumbled across the Oxford Arms. It is a traditional pub selling local beer with a section for dining. We were made to feel welcome and were soon tucking into potted shrimps. We... 更多
