Very good traditional French home cooking. The snails, onion soup, boeuf bourginon and wing of skate were delicious!
Called in on our last night of our trip in France and had a nice meal from their set menu. Service was good and very friendly. Our dog was allowed in with us which was great. Only criticism would be that the food could have been seasoned abut better.
Second visit to this lovely restaurant. On our first visit, the owner was extremely accommodating as we had a guest that had very particular dietary requirements, after a little explanation, a big smile, the owner produced a wonderful lunch. Our starter was mediocre - scallops in leek sauce, underseasoned. I had moules which you really can't go wrong with. My husband had the sirloin steak it was the worst he has ever had - tough and tasteless. We spent a long weekend in Boulogne and went here for dinner. It was quiet in the Catherdal grounds but busy in the restaurant. Delicious steak and chips. We decided to eat here again because of our enjoyment of the meal last time. We chose the brochette de poisson and was not disappointed - an excellent selection of fish and really filling. The squid starter was excellent.
Four of us had just arrived in Boulogne and went hunting for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant was full and we got the last table. We had to wait a little time to be served, but it was worth it.
