The evening before visiting this restaurant we had our most expensive and rather average meal at another establishment. Lunch here restored my faith. We had the 14 Euro menu of entree, plat, wine and coffee or you can replace the entree with dessert. We both agreed that the plat was amongst the best we have had from almost four weeks... 更多
Our group of 24 was offered two appetizers and two entrees. All four dishes were excellent, as was the molten chocolate cake for dessert. The appetizers were pan-sauteed foie gras and mixed salad with shredded warm salmon: very tasty. Entrees were duck breast fillet and cod steak in mushroom sauce.
Located a few blocks north of the historic area, but still on the main road out of town. Seemed to be a favorite of locals. Expansive windows and large deck (which was not open the night we dined). Pretty ordinary menu. We both had chicken cassoulet, similar to a chick pot pie. It did not have the rich flavor that... 更多
A nice location "on" the road by elevated. The atmosphere was quiet and the service was friendly and efficient. The daily menu was great value, well cooked but the garnishes and vegies were the same for each disk, this was a little disappointing. Excellent value for money and the wines were very reasonably priced
I visited this restaurant as part of a large organised party, and we took over the whole of the downstairs part of the restaurant, whilst other diners ate upstairs. Unfortunately on a very hot night, I was one of those seated inside, with no ventilation or fans other than one open window, which I was not very near to. The... 更多
Set in a corner just outside the old city of Sarlat, this is a bustling restaurant serving a full range of foods from the Dordogne region Many different types of fois gras, both fresh livers sauteed with mushroom sauce as well as pate's served with a variety of accompaniments. Delicious duck served as sliced breast or confit. Like so many... 更多
We thought the food excellent and enjoyed every moment of our visit here, coupled with a fair price meant the we have eaten there twice when passing through Sarlat
Excellent local dishes, fairly priced. Friendly, helpful staff, though mostly French-speaking. Make sure you reserve, hard to get into
Large restaurant with modern decor and very friendly staff made for an unforgettable dinner experience! Nice patio with street views on an intersection. Excellent food.
Flexibility around the basic menu and daily specials gives a wide range of options should you be starting to flag with all things duck and goose. Food was excellent and service great. This is somewhere we would return to!
The Dordogne would have to be one of the most boring food destinations. Every restaurant does virtually the same Magret or Confit of Duck. Fois Gras, omelette cheese and more cheese. Great to begin with but how much of this can one eat The Bistro offers food with the same theme. Nothing extraordinary
We have been to France many times and usually find one place that is truly memorable. This was it. We are staying in a house in Sarlat and have walked into the old city every night for dinner and passed this place. It was recommended by our owner and other people staying at the house but we were saving it until... 更多
We went on the recommendation of our hotel our first night and enjoyed it so much we returned. The chalk board at the entry always lists the specials for the day and we generally chose from among those. Among the entrees, we tried a delicate leek tart, light and fresh with a little salad, and a large salad with sautéed... 更多
Great location and food, close to down town. I had the venison and it was die for. My wife had goat cheese melted on bread which she enjoyed very much.
