can be noisy and service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait. Prices are a little on the high side. Would definitely go back.
If you like the big meats and big red wines this could be yours. Located in an old bank, the decour and food takes you back, as does the whole experience. This came through when the owner said only shiraz goes with red meat. One for memory lane.
Had a family dinner here. Haven't been to this restaurant in 20yrs. Sadly it hasn't moved on in that time. No atmosphere, unprofessional staff who have no idea about service. Owner spent the whole evening talking to customers he knew but didn't bother taking to the new blood! Food was average. Everything tastes the same and $70.00 for a rib... 更多
Family business, long time chef, specialise in an extensive selection of meat dishes and quality of food and service is first rate. Cuts of steak on display for the customer's choice and an open kitchen highlights a spotless, well managed environment. Price is not cheap but reasonable for the excellent quality of food provided. Highly recommended.
The vibe in this place had promise, but that's where it all ended. The food was very 90's pub grub style, with little taste to it at all. My steak was way overcooked and I left most of it. Lots of big portions of garlic bread brought out. If that's your thing, then you'll like it.
Prices were absolutely over priced and if you are not fluent in English, you would be tricked easily by a waitress adding extra cost on your bill with the suggestion of additional foods such as garlic bread and chips which is mostly coming along for complimentary when you order a steak meal(not breads). And the atmosphere was not that friendly.
I had lunch with a business colleague and we had a most enjoyable meal. I had a filet Mignon which was excellent and worth the money. The service was good, although there were not many diners. The restaurant serves a wide range of meal, and you can get fish or chicken - but its strength lies in its meat. The... 更多
The Steak Bank does a great steak accompanied by the best chips and salad in Melbourne. Try the herb bread to start - you won't be disappointed. Very friendly service and you can also buy free range eggs from the owners farm.
The Steak Bank Charcoal Grill is in the premises of an old State Bank. The décor consists of various banking signage on a red painted background. The atmosphere is dated, cold and uninviting. Toilets appeared unchanged since decorated by the bank. The prices for most of the food was astronomical - $67 for a Texan rib eye. I can imagine... 更多
