Had haddock and chips, looked huge, but once all the batter that was too hard to eat was removed, there wasn't much fish there.chips were not nice, hardly ate anything.my husband had a gammon steak, looked like it had been cut with a laser, fried egg served with it was inedible, burnt on the bottom, wouldn't return, expensive for what we had,a tourist trap
After climbing Ben Ledi we popped into Callander looking for somewhere nice to eat and we couldn't have got anywhere any nicer, we didn't have long to wait after ordering, there was 4 of us all having different meals and no complaints, the price was very reasonable and will visit again with my partner
We went for Dinner at the Waverley Hotel Restaurant on 4 Apr. The food was very good and the staff was excellent! Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
Ate here on a Friday evening. Very busy and noisy, not helped by a hen party which spoiled our dining experience. The food was poor. I had chicken and mushroom pie which was off as it was sliced cooked chicken in a lukewarm sauce with anaemic pastry in top. My partner had the steak pie which was marginally better.
