Visited based on reviews found on Trip Advisor, found to be overpriced, below average food matched by very slow service. Won't be visiting again
Hi, I would like to respond to your review of the Barley Mow, we at the barley take great pride... 更多
It’s been many years since we went to the Barley Mow. It’s a beautiful, small country pub on the edge of Penn Common and our recollections were those of good, home cooked food and well-kept real ales. Our recent visit preserved only one of those recollections. The Abbott Ale was absolutely spot on. Condition, temperature and presentation were absolutely perfect.... 更多

Myself and my girlfriend have recently moved very local to the area and heard nothing but great feedback from the place " especially from "Dave & Kelly ". Beautiful pub set in a the countryside in Wolverhampton. I must agree it's small and fairly busy but well worth the wait for the food. My girlfriend had the gammon baguette with... 更多
Tastiest steak I have ever had and I've had steaks in hundreds of places all over Europe. Excellent value and service. My girlfriend who only really eats chicken reckons there was a limited choice of chicken dishes for herself but as steak lover I cannot recommend highly enough.
Visited on an early Friday eve when the sun was out. Great seating area outside to enjoy a bit of British sunshine. Lots of people eating and the portions looked huge. We didn't eat, just a few early evening drinks with family and friends.
Found this hidden gem on Trip Advisor. Went for Saturday lunch with elderly parents - one in a wheelchair. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the home cooked meals were great and I would certainly recommend a visit here. Beers were good too - with proper local hand pulled pints!
2 kids, myself and local friend visited yesterday (9th April) got in at 5:45, good job, food started at 6 and the queue was growing for orders. Food arrived in 15 mins. Quality chips and the pork loin and black pudding was excellent. Kids meals big portioned. Son went for adult faggots chips and peas. He did 2/3. Nice choice... 更多
Been going to Barley Mow on and off for a few yrs now and always enjoyed the food and the people. Went again Bank Holiday Monday and it was crammed so we had to wait nearly an hour but it was worth it. still delicious food. be going back again
We weren't sure what to think when we arrived - 7:00 Friday evening. As we walked through the door you couldn't actually get in the pub for people standing in the entrance and at the bar. We soon realised that the menus are on chalk boards just as you enter the pub, so everyone was trying to read those. However,... 更多
We were in the area on a Friday evening and wanted to find somewhere to eat. Since we do not know the area i had a look on trip adviser and found we were not far away from the Barley Mow. This pub is very small, it was full when we turned up. (Friday night, about 7.45pm). We were welcomed... 更多
