We were excited to visit Schubel Auer but upon arriving saw a sign on the door which said they were closed until March. Double check with the website or give a call before you go to avoid the extra trip.
Travelled out from central Vienna to Nussdorf to visit this restaurant. Very easy to find at the very end of the Tram D line. Seemed to be mainly local people as customers on the night we visited. Slightly confusing ordering system but staff happy to help especially the lady on the buffet. Food is simple but tasty. We only tried... 更多
My entire experience at this restaurant was abysmal, and, if I could, I would give it less than one star. I was part of a large group that had reserved a table outside for the evening as our after-conference event, and the organizers were very excited to have us experience their favourite Viennese wine garden. Unfortunately, the way in which... 更多
to enjoy the traditional Heurigen in Vienna. We enjoyed their "Sturm", the freshly pressed wine and a very traditional fare of Backhendl. A very popular place so you need to book.
chübel-Auer is a "Heuriger", which in German means "Winery"... or in this sense "Wine Garden". There are dozens of these wine gardens in the outer areas of Vienna...I highly recommend visiting at least one! Schübel-Auer is easy to get to: take Tram D heading north all the way to the end will drop you in front at the Nußdorf Beethovengang... 更多
Walked the trail from Kahlenberg through the vineyards and stopped here for wine and an early dinner. This Heuriger is large with a lot of tables both inside and out. Since we arrived right when they opened the place was virtually empty. We asked for a table and one of the male servers was very curt and told us that... 更多
This heuriger has an amazing atmosphere, wint the inside garden, and also the inner spaces. But the service was a bit disappointing, and the wine is forgetteable. Worht a visit though.
Want to eat like a local? This is the place. Order a litre of wine + soda water at your table, mix them 50/50, and enjoy the evening. Ordering can be a bit confusing - you'll order schnitzel at your table, but you need to go inside to order the side dishes. (you'll pay for the side dishes inside when... 更多
Went Schubel Auer as first Heuriger experience. It was really fun. Food was good, this is not a foodie sort of place but the food was good home style cooking. Wine was certainly drinkable. The ladies at the buffet did a good job helping two Americans choose. It's important to note gluten free items are clearly marked as gluten free.... 更多
Our Rick Steves' Tour had the final dinner here. The dinner was buffet style. We had salads, breads, charcuterie, cheeses. All good. It's a value meal. Not fine dining.
