A typical Austrian restaurant. Very good food cooked in local manner. Friendly staff despite they are very busy. Good prices. Usually, a reservation is required because the place is very crowded.
How happy were we to find the Alter Fuchs next door to our hotel Salzburg has to be one of the most disappointing cities for food. The absence of quality and variety is overwhelming The alter Fuchs is a great location, top quality fun staff and the food matches the mood of the place. Just right all the time Well... 更多
We had THE apple strudel here.. And I loved it .. I don't have anything to compare it with but it was absolutely lovely!! The staff was super friendly and though the pub was crowded the service was fast!
Food was very good and plentiful! Very nice restaurant, very old world and even though this is a tourist area it was filled with locals enjoying a good meal! Didn't feel rushed even as customers were looking to dine here. Would recommend it - it won't disappoint you!
It was a very rainy night and this restaurant was packed, we were looking inside and we met by satisfied customers departing who advised us to go in, they had ate there for every night if their holiday. We ate there that night and each night after that. Food and atmosphere fantastic. Be mindful that kitchen closes at approximately 9.30... 更多
We were very pleased and very surprised to find such an excellent meal and a tourist area, my husband had the sausage plate and I have the schnitzel with beer for both. Price was good. Quantities good. Service a bit slow.
After seeing this mentioned in our guide book and having had it pop up as a recommendation on TripAdvisor, we decided to go here for dinner. It's a seat-yourself kind of place and it was very busy when we went but we still found a table without much fuss, at a high table for two. I'm short so it was... 更多
This little place was just few steps from from our hotel. We were 4 people and the waitress took us to a reserved small room which has been perfect, warm and cozy. Dishes are good. Even if we were 4 people, 3 dishes are enough. Beer was so good. Certainly, I'll be back.
Very crowded, very popular with the locals (always a good sign) and very friendly... a bit of a bun-fight but all part of the Salzburg experience. Worth a visit, but go on a diet before you go; portions approach American proportions and, therefore, not for the faint-hearted or those anticipating walking the next day.
Old and cosy restaurant with an interesting and nice interior. We had a booking inside since the weather forecast was indicating heavy rain, which was a blessing when it started to pore down and people were running in to get a table. Good, genuine Austrian food with a decent wine list and excellent beer made our last dinner in Salzburg... 更多
Creamy asparagus soup was watery. Risotto was porridge. Fish was dry (frozen?). Fillet (most expensive dish) (with unchewable bits) did not come with roesti but boring crocket pucks. I got spaetzle in stead which the waiter wanted to charge extra for... Prezels were very good though.
The food is nice but ruined by the service. The waitress is friendly to local people but kind of rude to foreigners. Won't be there a second time.
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here. The food was incredible! I highly recommend the "Mozart knodel" for dessert - amazing.
