At Den Gyldene Freden you sit in a comfortable setting where you feel the place dates back to the the 18th century when the restaurant was founded. The food is simple but very taste full with a lot of home made products and local produce. In short, a very nice stop in the Stockholm old town.
We did not seek this place out; but after reading the reviews after the visit, we should have. The food was very refined, tasty, elegant yet rustic/local. The restaurant is nestled in the cobbled streets of Stockholm's old town which is completely charming. Little lanes and nooks and crannies classical architecture. This restaurant is a pearl in that oyster.
