Amazing vegetarian food, amazing deserts, amazing atmosphere. Go there! Make sure to make reservations in advance because the place is quite popular both among tourists and locals.
It's hard to get vegetarian food anywhere in the Azores, so we were delighted to find this place. Hiding on a side street, it's almost fully booked every evening, so book in advance or get there early, ie just before they open at 7pm. The food is fantastic; you'll like it even if you're not a vegetarian. Lovely atmosphere too.... 更多
Located on a side street several blocks north of the city center, this restaurant is easy to walk to and well worth finding. A very unique place from it's location, small size and decorations to it's small but delightful menu. This was our first visit but the staff made sure we were right at home. They are only open a... 更多
All six of us really enjoyed dining at Rotas da Ilha Verde. Excellent meals - no meat or fish - and you felt at home. The place isn't that big so booking in advance is recommended.
It's not easy to find veggie dishes on a island that is known for great fish and meat dishes, but this restaurant is a real gem ! It's quite quirky in style (think mismatched furniture and tableware) but that's just an extra to the excellent food. Have the bruschetta as starter ! And do try the eggplant rolls ! Just... 更多
The staff was very freindly and seviceminded. We felt like we was visiting someones home. The food was delicius, we realt loven the place.
You really have to call before you go, cause it is always full at night. They do two turns, one at 7pm and one at 9pm. We went there twice and were served well both times. The menu has a good amount of options, especially the Risotto was very tasty. One of their specialties is the Fondue (a starter to... 更多
I visited this restaurant in May 2015 and I am so glad that I did! I was looking for some vegan food in Ponta Delgada and I found this vegetarian restaurant. Staff can speak English very well so it was easy to ask if they have anything vegan. The best thing they told me was that they can make almost... 更多
Kathy and i went to this restauarant on 7th and 8th May 2015. It's a lovely small place tucked away in one of PDLs narrow streets. Great care taken with the preparation of the food and the result was delicious. It's vegetarian - I'm not - but we loved it. How's this for quirky ? the bill comes tucked into... 更多
I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend on the last evening of our holiday and we were sad that we had only discovered it then. To say the cheese fondue is delicious is an understatement! The main courses were ok. But the deserts just blew our minds. We had a triple chocolate mousse, apple crumble with lemon cream and the... 更多
A very welcome change from the meat and fish we found in many other local restaurants. Delicious veggie main courses and amazing desserts. Don't miss the trio of chocolate mousse! Very welcoming, friendly atmosphere and plenty of mis-matched cups/saucers/plates going on. Go.
Enjoyed a hearty pre-theatre 3 course meal at this restaurant after finding it on TripAdvisor. After a few days of meat offerings morning, noon and night it was something of a relief to take a break from all things carnivore. Food was tasty, well presented, good portions and with lots of variety to chose from. Service was also punctual, friendly... 更多
Small restaurant, fantastic and creative food combinations, friendly owner and servers. We were simply seeking a meal without anything fried and the hotel suggested Rotas. Quaint little place with personality and the food was so good we ate dinner there every night we were in Ponta Delgada. Be sure to make reservations since they have only 6 tables and 2... 更多
I can see the charm and attraction of this place, but I guess it's not for me. The decor feels a bit too self-consciously cutsie to be genuine, and they have a communal table which they push, yet no one sits there (perhaps if there is no other option). I went for lunch and the staff were very helpful and... 更多
