We had the lunch in this restaurant in a small balcony on the water. The perfect place to have lunch in Brugge. The view was amazing and the food great. A couple of Brugse Zot and the time was perfect. The staff was really friendly.

You can't go wrong when you eat here for classic Belgium food. The "beer beef stew is stupendous" said my husband and I loved the chicken stew-soup ( cream based but not too rich). The location is tops, close to everything, and has a view from inside (except for some construction).
We opted for the 3 course set menu for €38 which was excellent value. We began with a bowl of Dutch mussels served in a garlicky sauce, had ribs of sucking pig for a main course and redcurrant and raspberry crumble served in a pastry case with cream and sorbet to accompany. Absolutely delicious - would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.... 更多
We were made very welcome in this characterful, canal-side establishment. Dimitri was the perfect host, amusing and knowledgeable without being oppressively attentive. We followed his recommendations - Flemish style white asparagus with smoked salmon to start, followed by either a flavoursome fish stew or baked rabbit in beer with caramelised apple and cinnamon. I'm told the stew was wonderful, but... 更多
while the restaurant is presently under construction, don't let that stop from going inside. It's very traditional and cozy. We had turkey breast with wonderful gravy, small new and roasted potatoes with a side of greens, tomatoes, etc. - beautifully presented. At first I thought, turkey breast? Really? But it was delicious. The service was attentive and impeccable. The restaurant... 更多
Huidevettershuis is a traditional Belgian restaurant, with a prime location on one of the canals in a very nicely renovated old building, which formerly belonged to tanners guild. Of course it is a touristic place, however very cosy and welcoming. We made a reservation for lunch, and glad we did, because every table was taken. They have set menu for... 更多
For a Saturday evening it was really quiet in here (think the scaffolding put people off) but the food was exquisite. I had the Flemish stew followed by Creme Brûlée, both were delicious. The asparagus looked really good too. The waiter was really friendly and accommodating. Shame more people weren't also dining to give the atmosphere a boost.
We were about to go into the restaurant next door which had a room overlooking the canal. However this menu looked better. The whole building was covered by scaffolding and plastic sheets and thinking that they would not be busy and really taking pity on them we decided to try this one instead. Ha Ha. The whole place was packed... 更多
We had dinner here after a long day of walking the city. The waiter was extremely friendly and funny. He recommended the Hodge Podge and mussels and both were delicious.
