Nothing fancy, rather traditional. It's like going to Nepal, with the beautiful murals and himalayan music on the background, it brings out the taste of the dishes
This is definitely not a traditional Indian - Nepalese place. Food is bland and the curries are not authentic. Toned down on spices and flavour. Rather forgettable and unexciting experience with the food. Service was good. Priced a little less than the other Nepalese-Indian restaurants around. Outdoor seating available.
- food is great, but not traditional nepalese and indian - toilet is average, is on the 2nd floor, so for handicapped guest it is not possible - staff is very nice and friendly, but sometimes service is slow
The restaurant is located near the train station. The interior is a bit dark and traditional with huge paintings of the Himalaya. The food is nicely presented with different sets of tests accompanying every dish. I appreciated the light preparations compared to indian food I had in many other restaurants.
We went to this restaurant to have a quick lunch on Friday. The place was completely empty at 12h and during the lunch only 2 other tables got occupied. Visited Himalaya with friends on the final evening of a trip to Leuven. Must visit place, you will feel you are having food in India surrounded by Himalayan pics on the wall :). Very good service, i dont miss the chicken biryani every time i visit there.
