This restaurant cooks up a truly delicious culinary storm. The food is a delight for the senses and the very knowledgeable staff combine professionalism with a warmly welcoming manner. We honestly cannnot sing their praises highly enough. We had a wonderful dinner there and hope to return at some point. Go if you get the opportunity.
This was indeed a wonderful dining experience. The evening began with various different started. Each one as interesting as the next. I had the lobster for entre and chicken for main. Both was cooked to perfection. Then depending on which desert you ordered a pre desert will accompany that. This was then followed by some pretty amazing petite fours. Absolutely... 更多
Last August, I visited Vermeer as a solo diner and enjoyed a seven course tasting menu. While I was there, the chef mentioned his kitchen table. I immediately made reservation for my wife and I over the King's day weekend. We had a new seven course menu, plus, as I recall, five amuses beforehand. Again, all with wine parings. Eating... 更多
Spent the last night eating here (28/4/15) Overall very enjoyable dining experience but being first timers to the restaurant we were somewhat confused to be served 2 amuse bouches before the menu and wine list were shown to us. We opted for 4 course menu and selected our wine. Cooking was to a high standard and very friendly staff. The... 更多
Really great meal the Friday night before King’s Day. I made the reservations weeks in advance, as I knew I had one night in Amsterdam, for 7pm, solo dinner. Of course I was the only diner until nearly 7:45, silly American. I was placed in a corner table with a view of the entire dining room, and feed a spectacular... 更多
A most congenial Cheshire chef in the heart of Amsterdam who is pushing the boundaries of giving his diners a great culinary experience, a delight from start to finish never knowing what happens next a truly interesting dining experience.
We had the 7 course tasting menu but it came with 4 additional amuse bouches and a pre dessert so you actually got 12 courses. We also had the wine pairing. The halibut, fresh morels and veal were the highlights for us. Sometimes we find that Michelin star restaurants have too many rich dishes. Vermeer had the balance about right... 更多
My brother and I decided on Vermeer due to its proximity to Centraal Station. We were not disappointed. The staff was incredible and watching them create items at your table was reminiscent of watching a master paint. Perhaps that's why it's called Vermeer? Regardless, this won't be the cheapest meal you have, but you will be treated as a friend... 更多
Vermeer was wonderful. As other reviewers have noted, the food is very inventive, the amuse-bouche plentiful and the wine pairing carefully considered. We had the set menu and opted for four courses (vs seven) - this was more than adequate. The waiters were fast, informative and discreet. Delightful.
My husband and I had dinner here on Thursday evening. We were shown to the kitchen, to the chefs’ table, where champagne was served along with our amuses. It was lovely to see ‘behind the scenes’ in the kitchen and how a Michelin starred restaurant works and to meet and speak with Rudolf the chef. We were then shown to... 更多
One, two, three amuse bouches, then the fourth one being impressively concocted in front of us, with liquid nitrogen. And then, when we were escorted to our table a fifth one. All before we actually started on the menu. We chose the four courses meal with accompanying wines. Every dish was a discovery and the service impeccable, yet warm and... 更多
