Yesterday (Friday) we made a reservation for tonight for dinner with the owner but when we arrived the restaurant was closed!Terrible!!!
We ate at this restaurant twice. They have 2 menus. One has pastas and other menu has a lot of fish. And cooked deliciously. Everything we ordered was tasty. Pasta - simply but very tasty. Menu is interesting , has a lot of varieties and not like average restaurant oriented on tourist.
This restaurant was across from our hotel. We liked it so much we went back a second time. Highlights: welcoming service, superb seafood (swordfish, pistachio-encrusted sea bass), Sicilian white wine. A Bolognese menu (pasta and meat) is available, but this is a seafood place. Open only for dinner. No reservation necessary. Dining inside or outside (very quiet street). Highly recommended.
Excellent restaurant opposite hotel Porta San Mamlo . The food is traditional , local , attentive staff. I love the fact that there is no English translation on the menu which makes you ask questions and communicate. Wonderful swordfish/ vegetable starter, sea bass in pistachio with rosemary potatoes , sublime.
On our first visit to Bologna ,we stayed in a great hotel opposite this restaurant called Hotel Porta San Mamolo. The restaurant had a very good, mainly fish based menu. We ate here twice 19th and 25th. April. and were not disappointed on either occasion. Great staff, Good food and wine list, and good atmosphere. Would come again. Blair.T. Glasgow.
Good sicilian restaurant. Located far from The tourist route but in the centre and worth a stop. The appetizers are very nice, probably The best thing on The menu so do not skip them
