This restaurant in a cave offers great service. We had a lovely meal of fish and pasta. There is a good range of meat, fish and pasta dishes all at reasonable prices.
Sorry to say, but Restaurante El Charcón wasn't that great. We had fish with rice. The fish was one of those inferior oily fish, which can be a bit dry. The sauce was lovely, with cumin, and the ambience was great with fantastic views to Tenerife. But the dish was distinctly average. I wanted to love it here, but it... 更多
We shared a starter ( baby squid with aioli ), then a large striped sea bream which was very good. Desserts were to die for. If you have a sweet tooth as I do, the trio of palm honey desserts is a six star !
This was the second restaurant I visited in San Sebastian and although the food was nearly good I found myself wondering whether the standard fayre was simply not to my taste. I ordered the fish soup and the rabbit. The rabbit was interesting but not great, the same went for the soup. The Roquefort prawns just did not work but... 更多
The restaurant is really good. The tastes are unexpected, but we liked it. But, watch out with the bill. We were charged with 7% tax above the listed prices, which is illegal in the EU. Consumer prices should always include taxes. We made a complaint and the waiter changed the bill to the listed prices without tax.
This restaurant is on the quiet side of the harbour wall , it has a low profile from the outside , with just a few chairs and tables outside in the day time. The inside is more appealing . We found the staff to be very welcoming and attentive , they offered a higher level of service than most of... 更多
We came here after a very positive recommendation from friend. And indeed it was an amazing experience. We were seated in a private table with stone walls. The atmosphere was great. The wine selection is good. The food was fantastic. Very very recommended.
Loved the atmosphere, service and food. Dined here three times in a week - lots of other lovely places to eat in San Sebastian but kept returning to this lovely venue. Save room for the palm honey sweet - excellent.
Had read reviews and expected a little more. To be fair it was a Monday and the service was impeccable. We chose badly, we wanted light tapas but it is a restaurant so we had two light mains. I had the prawns which were tired and over cooked. He had the "clams in green sauce". Not an expert on clams... 更多
