This place is not far from the Messe Frankfurt and was great for a quiet dinner with cystomers/friends. The food was good and the service was adequate.
The food was well prepared and presented. The waiters had a good knowledge of the menu and the wine list. The wine was quite expensive when compared to other restaurants.
The staff were very nice and beer was good. I had a mozzarella, tomato and spinach starter which was huge for a starter and tasted nice. The main was disappointing! The rice had pungent herbs added which didn't blend with the fish and asparagus. The fish was ok but, parts of it tasted raw. The pizza dishes looked respectable and... 更多
It was my second visit to this restaurant and both were equally good. I had to take Saltimbocca alla Romana again, as on my first visit it was delicious. Having been to Italy countless times I have to say that this restaurant is as authentic as they get and the value for money is excellent.
No this wasn't by design, it happened coincidentally. The food quality is good, the portions are European and certainly not Italian. For lunch I got to choose my dish. I ordered meat which was well done but poor in portion. For dinner the host had pre-set a menu and I silently ate that. I think the Italian in this Italian... 更多
I was in Frankfurt on business and with a lot amount of businessmen at exhibitions and often poor service it is a challenge to find a good place. We arrived without a reservation and maybe our timing was perfect but we were offered a table outside in the courtyard. Cocktails were ordered and arrived quickly. The staff are very helpful... 更多
Nice looking restaurant inside and out. Decent food but nothing special. Took 40 minutes to get pasta when the place was practically empty. Many fruit flies buzzing around the food and table during the meal.
The portions (as you would expect in Germany) are very generous. I had a very large and very nice fillet steak in green pepper sauce, which was reasonably priced and cooked to perfection, a proper medium not a French medium. The home made Tiramisu was as good as any I have had in Italy.
La Contessa has a real "neighborhood restaurant" feel to it -- it doesn't feel like a "tourist restaurant." Nevertheless, the staff was kind, welcoming, patient, and fluent in English. They had English menus. The food was delicious. The service was unhurried -- appropriately so. You felt unrushed. They had a good wine selection, I would not hesitate to go back.
