Visited for dinner one night. The restaurant has a traditional selection of German dishes (schnitzel, bratwurst and the like) and an ok selection of beers. The food was of standard quality, but the atmosphere and milieu is worth a visit.
The Cordon Bleu with freshly cooked pommes was very good and recommended. The beer was Berliner Kindl. The Pils is great. 10-12 items on the menu, which all are freshly cooked
Another hidden gem in Berlin. Excellent range of traditional German fare. The eisbien, beef dishes, soups and desserts are delicious. And another surprise was a great pianist. Entertainment is not always provided so call to check. Cheerful service.
I'm not a fan of eateries on the main drag. It's all those neon signs & bright lights that put me off. We stumbled across this restaurant whilst walking the back streets, whilst praying for divine intervention to give us a cosy, German restaurant on our last night in Berlin. Our prayers were answered with this gem. The ambience &... 更多
I went here for dinner with friends and I loved it. It is truly Berlin style with good food. Locals come here and only the odd tourist. It is located in the very centre of Westberlin, and yet quiet and lovely. Will come back.
Whilst in Berlin for a long weekend I found this bar through the Trip advisor web. Wow, what a place, our barmaid Deliliah looked after us superbly. We ordered drinks had the pork knuckle(it could have fed three) and with starters the bill came to 42euros! What a result, that meal in our hotel would have been 80/90 euros. Go... 更多
The first of many local restaurants that had a special Spargel (asparagus) menu for the season. We had schnitzel and wurst with thick white asparagus spears served with hollandaise sauce -- everything was very tasty and portions were generous. Nice crowd of mostly locals, and a piano player who never quit. Waitress spoke English though the main menu was also... 更多
We wanted some traditional German food and this place delivered it! The food was best I had in years. I'd recommend to have a look at what specials they have on too, I don't eat meat but my friend got the biggest falling off the bone piece of pork I've ever seen! I also spent ages just looking at the... 更多
If you come up on Rankenstrasse and think of a beer and some food - do not stop. We did. The place was E M P T Y. So upon our arrival we would like to eat and walked in for a seating - we shouldn´t, they were not sure that they could accomodate us!!!? The beer was flat and... 更多
