Wonderful pastries in a cute, clean cafe. The waitresses were kind in helping us make our decisions and seemed pleased with our very limited German. Great start to the day near the Viktualienmarkt.
Never has something as simple as sugar coated fried dough tasted so good! Had two apricot filled delights with a coffee this morning, and it made for a great start for making our rounds at Viktualienmarkt. Going back tomorrow for more!
Have to come here to try the schmalznudel dipped in sugar. Not exactly a donut but fried dough for sure. Nice coffee and outside seating. Would go here again to start my morning.
Unexpected cold weather hampered our stroll around the quaint town center. Decided to stop for hot cocoa and the famous "schmalznudel". It's a fluffy light fried dough pastry served with a dash of sugar. The cafe was decorated with "German" quaintness of Easter/Spring decors. It's a definitely a local treat to enjoy.
go to this small, inconspicuous and low-profile coffee place that serves some very traditional German snack called «schmalznudel» (and others) and obviously grab some... no need to sit in if the weather is good... (I was recommend it by a local)
Was in the vicinity of Viktualienmarkt and visited this cafe. Heard of the nice Schmalznudel and surely must try. Besides a warm cozy environment, the staffs were friendly. We had a nice coffee and hot Schmalznudel with sugar. Simple but tasted excellent.
