Perfect, simple setting in a lovely town. Understated, but wonderful. A real jewel. Husband and wife team working incredibly hard, tiny kitchen, delicious food. She cooks (brilliantly) he waits (charmingly) and the result is worth the trip. Trip Advisor says 'don't eat upstairs' probably right, but if you can book downstairs, you have to go.

Lucky we have pre-searched a restaurant in Chinon to find this one because it is small and inconspicuous and you would not imagine there is such a brilliant cook working in that small kitchen.
