This was the place I visited in Bordeaux where the service was as nice as expected, food is pretty good l, you can go for set menu as well and wine list ok. Location is central and the place inside quite nice.
Charming, overworked young waitresses, so service rather erratic (eg given wrong starter, had to wait ages for cheese). Starter (Ceviche) good, main course (boeuf) poor. Wines very expensive as no picher available at weekends. 26€ for the formule. Wouldn't be tempted to return.
When we asked our local host where they’d recommend as a local eatery, L’Escorial was it. With a tasty-looking menu at a decent price all whilst being located in the middle of town make this place a good find. Moreover, their chef is known to source not only seasonal produce, but also on a day-to-day basis so their menu is... 更多
We were a group of 8 looking for simple french food restaurant and came across this restaurant online so decide to book it. Food was good, beed slightly overcooked but it is great value for 3 courses meal. Our main disappointment was about service as there was only one waitress on Sunday evening for the whole restaurant which always left... 更多

We opted for L'Escorial based on the facts that most of the negative reviews were given for really stupid reasons ("best rabbit I have eaten, but I wasn't comfortable because I'm English) and that it happened to be one of the closest to the bar we... 更多
I really wanted to like this place but overall, it was just mediocre. The starters and desserts were really good but the main courses were not. I was served lukewarm frozen fish with sub par lemony risotto. The service was very slow as well. The server brought out the main courses to half the table and then took another 10... 更多
We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant. A warm welcome, good inexpensive wine, and good food. My only criticism is my tuna mi-cuit was a little over cooked,. Otherwise, everything was excellent and the overall cost quite modest.
A group of about 25 of us got together at L'escorial for an absolutely fabulous meal. They were able to put us all together at one big table in the back. The dos de cabenaud (fresh cod) in a tomatoey crust was the best I had during my French vacation - their "deconstructed cheesecake" was a hoot - a cheesecake-flavored... 更多
