This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who live in Manchester. We were in the city for two nights. Very busy and buzzy. We chose Queen Scallops and spinach soufflé, absolutely superb. For the main course I chose the sole with zucchini and spinach with a touch of garlic....fantastic. The halibut with lobster sauce was also delicious. Eduardo who... 更多
Food wasn't nice bland looked amazing but didn't taste the same... in the 2 hours we were there we only saw waiters 2 times... very saf cos I really wanted to like it
Even though it was extremely busy we arrived on a Tuesday around 8:00pm and was lucky to get a table for two in a matter of seconds when we walked through the door. Food and service was great, probably the best overall restaurant experience I have had in Manchester. Not too expensive too and worth every penny.
Ive been here a few times and always had a nice meal, with excellent service, This time however i was served uncooked chicken. was not offered anything else and they left it on the bill which i found strange, bit of a carry on to get it taken off, which was not what i would have expected in here.
This restaurant certainly has a reputation, so called in for lunch - lovely surroundings and never seen so many staff in one smallish restaurant. The service was great, the food was good but let down by lukewarm pasta served on a cold plate !
food was great, we had a great experience. Waiter attentive but not to over the top our table was nice but we were surrounded by a birthday party who were quite loud.
The kind of Italian restaurants I like are the one's off the beaten track, maybe a bit old school in style, good service ,candlelight with mamas home style cooking..San Carlo is none of these , bright brash loud pretentious topped with arrogant service. The other thing you'll notice is how many diners actually keep one eye on the door to... 更多
We visited for a special birthday! We have all eaten in many different Italian restaurant all over and this is up there as one of the best. The food was un-believe and the atmosphere in the their reminded me of a restaurant we visited in Rome, very cosmopolitan but with that original Italian charm. Its is busy and nosy at... 更多
Went along to San Carlo with the OH for his birthday. Friday night at 7pm, and it was busy, but not annoyingly so. Staff were ever present but not in your face, service was therefore well timed and efficient. The food was divine and I was talked into (without too much resistence) having the chocolate dessert...yumyum!!! A little on the... 更多
Went with family and the food was very mediocre. The prawns were very iffy and slimy - turned my stomach a bit whilst eating them and didn't finish the meal. An extensive selection of seafood but wouldn't recommend risking it. Ended up being violently ill that night and still unable to eat three days later. Hideous. Never ever going back... 更多
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Italian is my favorite, and still to this day I haven't found better! The food was perfect. The staff were amazing and treated us like royalty and considering the quality of the food I was very impressed with the price at the end. It's obviously a very popular restaurant as there was photos... 更多
Excellent food if you can cope with the rude waiters and the long wait between courses due to the establishments celebrity worship policy. You would have thought that all money is the same, however, at this establishment, it appears you have had to have earned it via some sort of celebrity status to qualify for good customer service. Our group... 更多
