Had lunch here with two friends. We were unexpectedly delighted with the quality of the food and the value for money. Will definitely be back.
My friends and I had dinner at this restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals and there were no complaints. The restaurant is small and intimate, ideal for a romantic meal. I had the duck, which was very good.
I started with the onion soup which was good. Then I had the beef bourguignon which was terrific. Great flavor...wonderful ingredients. My wife had the skirt steak which didn't have as much flavor as we're used to.
We ve been regulars since our first date years ago, we adore eating outside on the terrace even during rainy days or during the winter. Food is always very good, french classics, charcuterie and cheese boards are the best in Dublin! Good selection of wine for all budgets. Service always friendly. Chez Max is definitely a special place!

We stopped here after touring Dublin Castle and really enjoyed the experience. The staff is French, which makes the experience even more authentic. The food was excellent, try the Mixed Plate, it has a great selection of cheeses & meats.
I try to sit at one of the little tables outside, and watch the passing crowd. They have a sister restaurant in Baggot street. The food leans towards French cuisine geared to Irish palates. So nothing too drastic. You can get wine by the glass which is handy. Ideal if going to the Olympia, Visiting Dublin Castle or the Chester... 更多
