Lovely pub/hotel. Great for walkers, great menu, and dogs allowed. Also very busy, you might need to wait for a table.
Stayed here for 1 night whilst on business. I agree that the decor is a bit dated but it somehow fits with the charm and character of the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and carried a piece of luggage to my room. The bar is delightful with lots of cosy 'nooks'. The ales are made in their own... 更多
The family all went for lunch, it is a lovely building the beer, which is brewed on the premises offered a good choice and was delicious. Really nice seating area out the front . Where I am disappointed is, firstly the bar/lounge area of the pub is a throw back to the seventies and little chefs. I thought seating booths... 更多
Lovely gin selection. Try the Brockmans served with blueberries and grapefruit. Lovely lunch too. Hubby had the ploughmans - be hungry - a huge portion. I had the steak panini which comes served on a board with a little jug of gravy, pot of horseradish, crisps, homemade coleslaw and side salad - highly recommended.
My husband I ate dinner here one evening in August, 2015, after driving around the beautiful Pitlochry area. We ate in many lovely pubs on our trip, but the Moulin Restaurant was the most traditional of the lot--small and cozy, with lots of little sitting nooks. The food (steak pie and fish and chips) were fine, but the homemade ales... 更多
after a recommendation for a dog friendly pub and a long walk we were ready for something special and left a little disappointed. the beer choice from the Moulin brewery was good and we chose to sit outside - we then decided on what to eat and the menu was not as extensive or varied as we had hoped. The food... 更多
Bar staff( well only one serving) rude and uninterested in explaining the so called beer which was on offer. Should have gone with the gut feeling to leave but decided to order food. Bad move !! When ordering at the bar with the same ' charming' barman, told briskly that I had to pay upfront. I know why... our surf... 更多
had a meal here with friends whilst staying nearby. The meals and service are to a good standard and it can get busy very quickly. The on site brewery does a great job of supplying a range of interesting beers. The veggie haggis, neeps and tatties was v tasty.
We stayed in Pitlochry last year and had a great meal here so we arranged for our lunch to be here on our way to Edinburgh from Inverness. We had another great meal, French onion soup, haggis, neeps and tatties . The great old pub atmosphere and service make the experience that much better.
I don't know how to describe our experience. It was odd, but not necessarily in a bad way. I'm convinced their 3.7% light beer is much stronger. We needed to order food after one pint, opting for a snack of deep fried haggis which hit the spot. After a couple more pints we decided to stay for dinner. An order... 更多
