We went to The Dogs for dinner on a Friday evening and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is cosy and the staff very welcoming. The food was spectacular, every guest enjoyed their variety of dishes. My pork chop was very tender and we had an enjoyable and relaxed dining experience.
Second time here food is fantastic and the prices are excellent .only grumble I had was a member of staff wasnt very hospitable. Politeness and a smile goes a long way
Visited the restaurant for lunch and sadly was not impressed. I had the liver to star which was okay but my main was atrocious. I had the Ox-shin pie, which was completely tasteless, void of any meat whatsoever and full of water. It was more like a broth than a pie. Also, everyone in my group got fresh cutlery for... 更多
Heard this place mentioned a fair bit. Went in with pal c 6.45. Staff very nice and general atmosphere is lovely - interesting people watching! - But food only middling - both our mains murky intense brown stews, my starter of spicey mussels had a great sauce but very few actual mussels, wine ok but waiter knew nothing about it... 更多
Recommended by a good source as we were looking for somewhere informal but with top notch food. We weren't disappointed. The menu was stacked with interesting food- not your normal pub grub. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was lively but intimate. One point, they mustn't have seen the hear wave coming and left the heating on.... 更多
Ate at The Dogs with family of 4. Fantastic, We ate 3 courses with wine and it came in at 80GBP. Great value for good quality and delicious bistro food with a local twist to the menu. Untpretentious, excellent service and quaint atmosphere. Loved it! Highly recommended. Would definitely go back for more.
I simply loved their gluten-free fish and chips, and all other meals we have tried were wonderful too. Very helpful service, lovely view and more than reasonable prices, and the décor is simply unforgettable.
Situated in an old town house with an unpretentious menu, walls festooned with local art works, mismatched tables and chairs, a bubble of happy and contented conversation as hungry jaws chomped their way through delicious food. We enjoyed ourselves greatly and would happily recommend it to anyone.
The food at The Dogs is excellent and very good value for money. Three courses each, 2 x coffee, beer and a glass of wine all came in for £50. Based on the quality of the food this is excellent. The only slight negative is some of the food is very rich, and as person with IBS this can cause... 更多
