We went as a family and it was nice. We had a drink but kids were welcome. They don't do food on Wednesdays though
Friendly, efficient, and managed a group of 30+ of us in their back room for a wedding lunch, with everyone getting what they had ordered in impressively military fashion, hot, sufficient and tasty. (I had the butterfly chicken) Good standard pub menu with a couple of more unusual items. Decent beer too - Butty Bach at the moment. Enjoyed.
Me and a mate came from London to the Brecons for a weekend of walking, punctuated by a few pints watching the 6 Nations. We stayed at the Clarence and could not have been more pleased. Roger and his staff were friendly, helpful and down to earth, and they run the pub really well, creating a comfortable, relaxed, welcoming and... 更多
Lovely people, super service and a comfortable room. One night stay but no hesitation in making a booking for a planned visit next month. Convenient location with parking.
Went here for a meal with work colleagues. Great food - lots to choose from and a lovely selection for vegetarians (the Glamorgan sausages were lovely!). The rooms are outstanding. They've recently been redone, and it's a mix of modern meets original building. Standard pricing for too range bedrooms. No faults.
Deceptively large and spacey, stopped here for a couple of drinks as we were staying literally across the road. Friendly staff, relatively decently priced drinks, and a nice atmosphere too.
had food here it was very nice, reasonably priced and tasty you have to try the chips sat in front of the fire it was so cosy loved it, will definitely visit again
Appalled that I turned up with large family on a Sunday, having phoned to pre book and been told a full menu including Sunday lunch was on offer, along with a full vegetarian menu. Turn up to find they only serve Sunday lunch and 1 vegetarian option, and no child vegetarian menu.
Had a few glasses of wine in here yesterday on a trip to the Beacons. Staff were great and the locals were friendly enough, definitely one for popping to if you're in the area. Wine was ok (they only do those little bottles) but they had a few ales on too. Recommended.
