Only popped in for a few drinks but staff are friendly.would definitely go back when in the area and would try the food as it looked delicious
Pluses and minuses here..... The portion sizes are really huge but the fare is average and not skillfully cooked; the Red Lion's motto is definitely quantity over quality. We all choose a roast dinner at £12.50, from the menu. I had lamb, which was very tasty and plentiful, my daughter had the veggie option, which was a pie. A really nice traditional pub in the town centre, the place was was cozy and the staff friendly, they do do food but we didn't eat there we just had a drink but they were a bit pricey, £8.05 for a cider and a bottle of Corona lager.
Decent pub with plenty of seating inside and decking area to rear. Staff freindly and quick at the bar. didnt at there so cant comment on food. Try the mulled cidar!!
We have recently moved from London and decided to book the Red Lion for my wife's birthday and included eighteen members of our family including five young children. The food as always was fantastic, the staff were great with the children a truly great place to go.
