This cafe looks average, serves average food, and is an average price. All in all, average. If there is a redeeming quality it's the service, quick and friendly.
After having lunch somewhere else...we decided to try this cafe for pudding. We quiet enjoy trying a main course in one location and pudding in another but it was rather disappointing. Warm chocolate brownies with ice cream on a damp afternoon seemed like a good idea as did scones with jam and clotted cream. Unfortunately both seemed to have been... 更多
Lovely looking cafe in a quiet street away from the hype of the main areas. Thought it the perfect place for lunch. Unfortunately we were wrong. Woman who took our order (l think the owner) was very off handed and made us feel like we were a hinderence. When the meal arrived,it was extremely small for the price and looked... 更多
Popped in here to get away from the crowds. Although clearly popular, they seemed happy to let me sit on my own and didn't rush me out the door. It was nice to be seated and have waitress service rather than the usual "pay at till and wait to collect" model that a lot of coffeehouse chains now use. Lunch... 更多
The positives, nice premises and good quiet location on a side street. The food was simple but good, though nothing special. What stuck out was the unfriendly service. Not slow but unfriendly, dumping dishes on the table, no eye contact or civility. To be honest I found it to be odd, hopefully it was just an off day for the... 更多
Having had a bad experience at a cafe in the same stree ThecNews a Cafe was a breath of fresh air. Excellent food served well and reasonably priced. What else can I say. Recommended
They advertise a big breakfast, it's not. Barista? No such thing. The menu is relatively varied but does not cater for the clientele that come in and does definitely not suit the business model. I would have had a "big" breakfast but opted to have a chicken sandwich through the sheer size of the breakfast (child's size) Sadly, the club... 更多
A late afternoon tea here today. This quaint little café located in Ship Street is really nice. I wondered if it was going to deliver that authentic English food but it didn't disappoint. The clotted cream and scones were divine and at a reasonable price too. Service was exceptionally friendly. Will be back for sure.
A simple menu, well cooked food in a comfy restaurant. Doesn't open until 9am a little late for a working breakfast. Free WIFI and plenty of peace to sit and enjoy the free newspapers away from the bustle of the High Street.
