My idiosyncratic test for a Thai restaurant is Pad Thai. Bangkok's came with every just right, perhaps a tad dry. The courteous staff was helpful.
Visited the Bangkok house, Saturday 16th May with friends, this used to be a good restaurant, but I think might have new owners. The food was really good, quality and portion size, but from the start, the service was shocking. Our table was pointed out and we made out own way to it, looked at the menu and placed drinks... 更多
After going to a matinee at the Playhouse we ate in the Bangkok House before returning home. The staff are friendly service is good and the food excellent. The ambience is perfect, we did the whole thing starters, duck and pancakes, main meal and dessert. Can not fault it. Then we decided to have a licquer to finish of a... 更多
the place look dated but if you know how to order the food is great. You have to mention that you want the Thai way then staff will recommend you real Thai food and Thai taste. I recommend Esarn - North Easter food ie Somtum ( Papaya Salad) , Esarn Sausages, Grilled Chicken. Basic Satay is also good. I am... 更多
Bangkok House used to be really good. Maybe they were having a bad night! We were asked if we wanted drinks three times, they did eventually come but no water. This came and one full glass was knocked over by the waitress onto our friend's lap, shirt and trousers were soaked! The waitress was apologetic but failed to return with... 更多
The food is the best we've had in the UK, and reading the reviews this is a common opinion. Also due to the reviews we expected the staff/host to be rude. The main host (presumed the owner) was quite abrupt with no smile to start with, but got the job done quickly and well, and after we said a few... 更多
We walked In to this place without a booking and got a table for 6-a win by oxford standards. The place was rammed but calm. Service was prompt and polite.
We've been in few Thai restaurants in Oxford durning our weekend trip but this one's the only one we came back to. Food's delicious. Try it.
Came back here for the Chicken Pad Thai and was every bit as enjoyable as the last time. Food is great, service is friendly, quick and attentive, and also very good value for money. Only £7.50 for our mains. My favourite Thai restaurant in Oxford. Would recommend every time.
Lovely tables imported from Thailand give the place a sort of safe-exotic kind of feed. Food is very good - especially the Pad Thai (particularly at lunchtime I think, when it's also much cheaper). Service is good too. I've been quite a few times - that says a lot I suppose.
I will start by stating that I am not a regular Thai restaurant customer so I don't have any recent restaurant experiences to use as a comparison. Our table for 4 was ready and waiting and at 6.30 on a Friday evening the restaurant was very quiet. This might explain why our starters arrived very quickly. There had not been... 更多
