Conveniently close to the Minster. Good atmosphere and tasteful unusual decor with sheet music pasted to the walls. I have been here many years ago and it has not changed, so they must be doing it right! Drinks we had were good and service prompt and friendly. A bit more expensive than some cafes in York, probably due to the... 更多
I've dined here a few times & have never been disappointed. Lovely atmosphere & staff & meals are delicious with a good amount of veges. Would recommend, especially if you're a fan of healthy food
We were walking in York when we stumbled across Cafe Concerto so we thought we'd pop in for coffee/tea and cakes. The cakes were amazing, yes service is a little slow and a little pricey but we were in no rush, so had no problem with waiting for our order to be taken. Cake is a little expensive at £4.25... 更多
We were in York for two days & after the first lunch at this restaurant we had to go back the second day. All of us agreed it was the best lunch of the trip.
Visited for breakfast yesterday. Lovely-looking place, very European! We were seated very quickly but then had to wait a while before anyone took our order - but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine, and once ordered it wasn't long before food arrived. We both had scrambled eggs, bacon and toast and it was absolutely divine. Had tea... 更多
We ate at Cafe Concerto last evening on our first day in York. It was close to our B&B, and we were tired after a long day. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in getting us through the evening. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced as well. The setting is intimate and quiet. This is a great place... 更多
It is rare to find somewhere in an evening where the proprietors are just as happy for you to enjoy a coffee and a cake as a three course meal. Cafe concerto is such a place. The cafe is brilliantly situated with a view of the minster which was beautifully lit up on the spring evening which we visited. The... 更多
Nice little restaurant in sight of the Minster. The place had a nice Bistro feel. Very good menu with lots to choose from. Our party all had the sausage and mash which came with onion gravy and fresh well cooked veggies. One of our party could not have onions so was given the choice of spicy gravy or red pepper... 更多
A few days ago I was lucky enough to visit York with a friend who has been using this cafe for many years. The atmosphere is perfect, lovely comfortable wooden chairs, old scrubbed tables and interesting memorabilia. We had a "sweet tooth" lunch but on seeing the soup and other things arrive I wished to try them all. We were... 更多
Great quality, freshly cooked food at a reasonable price in this prime location. Given the businesses of the cafe during Easter week the service was quick and efficient. The menu is varied and well thought through offering imaginative meals. An absolute must if you are looking for a meal in York.
Food was fresh, looked and tasted home made, and the service was excellent. Portions were large, but no objections to that, it was so good. Surroundings were like a farmhouse kitchen - wood everywhere, and the walls were full of musical memorabilia. Nothing to dislike!
We ate here on a relatively quiet Tuesday night - it was gorgeous! We had a platter to start which was fresh and very tasty (lovely bread and hams in particular, and good fresh mozzerella). Partner had a steak cooked properly rare to follow - he said it melted - and I had the chicken with chorizo and harissa which... 更多
I've lived in and around York for years and this is my favourite cafe. The walls are papered in sheet music and the toilets are small but the food is excellent, the atmosphere friendly and the menu eclectic. The cake is gorgeous and the environment suitable for eating alone or in a couple or family. It's not the cheapest but... 更多
Within sight of the Minster this is the ideal place for a meal , snack or beverage at most times of the day. I have used it for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea (and cake), and dinner in the evening over time and I've never been disappointed. Good food, well presented, great ambience.
Situated 40 metres from York Minster, Cafe Concerto has been established for over 20 years. We popped in for lunch: Chicken Dauphinoise was superb comfort food - simple and delicious. The Yorkshire Rarebit (cheese and beer on toast) was tasty too. Well worth a visit.
