I'd already read and seen pictures of the Windsor Castle, but with the visit I understood that you must visit it to actually 'see' it. It's spectacular, it looks like an unreal place, It's hard to believe it exists.
We loved our visit to the castle and though the palaces of Paris are far more beautiful, the Windsor Castle is charming. The place where the castle is located is very pretty, and has a lovely vibe to it with great eating places just a stone's throw away.
This is a must, must and must see for all visitors to London. An half hour train journey from London, this immaculately maintained castle is billed as the oldest occupied castle where the Queen reportedly spends her weekends. Photography inside the castle is not permitted. Audio guides in various languages are available which provide a fascinating insight to the lives of... 更多
We visited on a rainy day, but the beauty and historical significance was still evident. It was an easy stroll around the grounds. Staff directed you in to the part of the castle that is open to the public - which is incredible! Filled with enormous halls and rooms, suits of armor, antiques and more. This was and is the... 更多
If you like a traditional English pub then you must try the Windsor castle with it amazing collection of Royal Memorabilia. Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff- there is also an excellent Thai food menu. One of Central London's best kept secrets
Fairly quiet for Saturday evening, bar staff friendly. Good beer & cider. Food order a huge disappointment- chose various starters to share between the 2 of us rather than 2 main courses. Very average presentation and definitely not value for money- eg. 3 pieces of buffalo wings = £7.50 !! Nachos "thrown together " with little toppings. Probably realised we... 更多
Windsor Castle is great place to see and it is well maintained. You need to pay one time and can visit multiple times in 1 year for same fee. Audio guide is available free of cost.
Windsor has been a great friend for about 3 years already. Don't hesitate to go there on your own - you will always find somebody cool to talk to. Love Ian, the manager, who is always welcoming and supportive. I was emotionally frustrated this week and the bar people offered me true support and hugs. Thank you for that!
Wonderful pub next to the LBS atmosphere really nice for a Wednesday night. Good selection of drinks bar staff good and didn't have to wait long to be served. There were about 20 of us & we were given our own reserved section upstairs. Great place to meet up and network.
